I actually had a very positive experience at Capitol Mazda. Came in a very defensive mood expecting to have to put up a fight to get the right price car. Phil made it very easy and even stayed an hour after his shift to show me every function of my new CX5. It was extremely helpful, I'm not used to that. The manager David worked very har to get me the lowest loan rate and processed all the paper work. He made it very easy as well. Highly recommend this place and the cars!!!
TL;DR version: Signed my FIRST EVER lease with the folks of Capitol Mazda and the experience was simple, fast and surprisingly fun! Gene Johnson (Internet Sales Manager) is funny and all sorts of awesome and so is David Civelli (Finance Manager) -- work with them! Super long version: Although I needed to get going on getting a new car, I had been dreading it because I was so overwhelmed with everything I had researched -- determining which car to get, deciding to buy versus lease, etc. Don't get me wrong, I was super excited about getting a new car, just felt overwhelmed and had decision fatigue. I had test driven three other brands' small SUVs on a Sunday before going into Capitol Mazda to drive a CX-5. When I started researching cars online, I KNEW the CX-5 was what I wanted -- tons of safety features and super stylish. I just needed to test drive it and test drive its competitors to be sure. What's funny is that after test driving the Hyundai Tucson that morning, I was pretty much convinced that I was going to get that instead of the CX-5. And by the time I got to Mazda that Sunday evening, I was "over it" and wanted to get the drive over with and make a decision already -- again, leaning towards the Tucson. When I went into Mazda, I met with Gene Johnson, the Internet Sales Manager, and he had my husband and me laughin' as he covered the highlights of the CX-5 that mattered most to me. After test driving it and chatting with Gene about pricing -- which he was very transparent about, I needed to sleep on it because I was, at that point, torn between the CX-5 and the Tucson. Gene had talked to his manager for me to take it home and bring it back the next -- he wanted me to make sure I felt good about my decision and wanted me to essentially test drive the car in my everyday-life conditions. After 24 hours with the car, I brought it back and told Gene I wanted to sign the leasing paperwork. Having it for that time window really helped solidify my decision. Once we started doing paperwork, I worked with Finance Manager, David Civelli, who walked through everything efficiently and thoroughly. This was the part I thought I was going to dread the most, but again it was relatively simple, quick and surprisingly fun -- David was great! Even the day after, I had some questions that I called him about, and he happily answered them. The folks at Capitol Mazda are fantastic and I'm so glad I worked with them on getting my car!
First off I'd like to say that I had the best experience at Capital Mazda by a sales rep name, Ralph Brooks. I purchased a vehicle through him and he made my experience so easy. I have been shopping around for a vehicle and my experience with the other places wasn't as helpful. I highly recommended Capital Mazda, and definitely see Ralph Brooks!

I am another happy and satisfied customer. I pratically turned this dealership into a body shop just for my brother. This place has taken care of me in more ways than one, but Jose Moreno from the Service department and Rob in Parts did their absolute best and delivered 10 fold with the car. As a new car buyer with no experience in the (often) tedious process of purchasing a car, I was more than pleased to have went to Capitol Mazda thanks to Stephen Fields who made my experience as painless and informative as possible. Due to his expertise, I was able to purchase a car that far exceeded my initial model/year without compromising my budget! Let's also not forget Monica Rodriguez who assisted me in navigating the perfect car based on Stephen's suggestions and was able to answer any logistical questions I had. Needless to say, Capitol Mazda blew me away by their top-notch staff (thanks again, Stephen & Monica) and I will definitely direct all my friends and family to Capitol Mazda.
I've never commented on buying anything before but I feel compelled to share my experience at Capitol Mazda because it was so fantastic. No stress, to the point, the CX-5 was exactly as advertised, they sold it for what they said they would, they were always professional, no up selling, just plain "nice". I was first greeted by Casey Dawes - a real nice fellow who was excellent on the test drive. I immediately felt Casey was a "real human being". And then I met Steven Valentone, over-the-top professional. Steven was the senior mentor to Casey - I could see how he would be a great person to learn from. I bought the car late at night and they stayed with me past closing time. Offering to help out if there were any concerns, they held true to their word and let me bring the vehicle in for some extra cleaning and to get a cosmetic issue rectified. Just great people. I'll throw in a word for Jeff Lilibridge too at the service desk - organized, clear, got the job done perfectly. A great place with a great team! Highly recommend this place, this team if your looking for a vehicle.
